Deck the Halls...

Ho Ho Ho!

Here are a few bits I loved seeing this Christmas...(apart from family & friends of course!)

The trip on the Santa Steam Train.

A glass of warmed, spiced mulled wine waiting for me!

Lovely cards designed by little people.

My eclectic decorations collected from around the world....

... Copenhagen

Venice, Vienna, St.Petersburg, Amsterdam....

Slovenia, Florence, Bahamas(!) ...plus many more.

My traditional German wooden decoration
(from Ludwigsburg - see market pictures from my blog 2 years ago)
the heat from the candles spins the wooden propeller on top which spins
 the central penguins.

My lovely friends playing the adjusted version of Monopoly I made them for Christmas.
With places changed to local/family names & places.
The metal tokens replaced with favourite toys and family faces.

and finally....

...the wearing of Christmas jumpers!.

WEDDING HIGHLIGHTS

My sister got married recently and decided to make a break from tradition.
It was all about bright colours and lots of handmade elements.

It started with the invite which was wrapped around a real chocolate bar
(artwork by me)

Here are a few of my favourite elements from the day...
(too many to chose from!)

Fantastic origami flowers with button centres made by my sister.

 Felt mat designed by myself

More beautiful handmade flowers

A few extra bits I've helped with....

Table plan & name settings

Order of service

Large picture for guests to sign their names on each leaf

Signage (this one for a sweetie stand!)

A few decorations

cake toppers

Sadly I didn"t make the amazing cake!

some other lovely bits I want to show but didn't have a hand in...
Initials covered in handmade flowers

Graffiti on one of the farm barns

And finally....
They also made it onto the Tour de France web page by wearing
their wedding clothes 2 days after the day...
Snapped just as the cyclists passed the bottom of the drive!
